FAQs

How will I receive my NFT?

We are happy to send your NFT to your MetaMask crypto wallet.  You can view an instructional video on setting up your own wallet here.  Otherwise, after your purchase, you will receive an email confirming your NFT has been uploaded to your gallery.  Then simply visit your PoA gallery where your digital art is stored and can be viewed.

What are NFTinies and NFTeenies?

An NFTiny is limited in quantity, just like an NFT, except that it is sold at a lower fixed price point rather than through an auction.  It is primarily meant to be a collectible and may include additional content such as a spotlight on other artists, brand advertisements, charitable organizations, and projects.  It may include rare digital content or even access to physical goods, events, or promotional items.

An NFTeeny is sold at a much lower fixed price and is meant for a wider distribution for patron engagement.  There could be monthly drops of lottery giveaways, surprise digital content, promotional items, voting rights, collaboration opportunities, tickets, and even used as an entry key to VIP memberships or the metaverse.

How do I store and exhibit my NFT?

PoA provides a digital gallery where your NFTs can be stored and viewed. Those with more crypto experience can receive and store your NFT on a digital wallet. You can also display your NFTs in the physical world with frames which exhibit electronic images. Some of the auctions on PoA include physical frames for the winner. To access your gallery, simply create an account.

What is an NFT?

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a digital unit of data stored on blockchain technology that is unmodifiable, easily transferable, and traceable. When you buy an image, audio, or video file, the NFT serves as a digital deed or certificate of authenticity that verifies the copy you own is the original digital file. Non-fungible means they are not interchangeable so much of their value comes from scarcity.

Do I need crypto to buy an NFT?

We understand most people don’t use crypto (not yet anyway).  That’s why we accept major credit cards in addition to crypto.  But, if you prefer using crypto, we've included a Coinbase option at checkout.

What else will my digital collectible provide?

One of the many additional benefits of an NFT is the ability to include additional locked objects that can only be accessed by the owner. These could include surprise content, rare music or videos, interviews from the artist, giveaways, highlights of other artists, and almost anything else you can imagine! NFTs could even include a physical object. The product overview for each NFT will include information on any additional content if included.

What is a crypto wallet?

You don't need a crypto wallet to purchase your NFT, though eventually you may want to get one.  A crypto wallet stores the keys required to buy and store cryptocurrencies and NFTs. The public key acts similarly to a shareable bank account number while the private key serves as your crypto wallet password. If you prefer to store your NFT on a crypto wallet, we recommend MetaMask which is one of the most popular wallets for NFTs. You can view an instructional video on setting up your own wallet here.

What are the environmental impacts of NFTs?

PoA is focused on protecting our environment and maintaining a nearly 0% carbon footprint. While other blockchain networks use a security model called Proof-of-Work mining which consumes a lot of energy, we use Palm or Polygon. These NFT-optimized blockchain networks offer a 99%+ reduction in energy consumption so our eco-conscious artists and their fans can rest assured we are doing everything possible to support their NFTs and the environment.

How can I sell my collectible?

There are numerous marketplaces where you can offer your NFT for sale. PoA offers a simple and user-friendly concierge service to handle all the details of selling your NFTs. If you’d like more guidance on selling your NFT or using our concierge service, contact us here.

What is "Gas" and who pays for it?

In traditional Ethereum blockchain transactions, gas is the fee or pricing value associated with conducting a transaction. In general, the busier the network, the higher the fee. Don’t worry, PoA pays all gas fees no matter how busy the network is! For a fun, real-time visual representation of how gas works, check-out txstreet.com.

Winning Bid

Crypto payments will be processed immediately.  However,  credit card processors may limit large amounts paid in dollars.  For the auctioned NFTs, we may facilitate directly with the winners to provide alternative payment to be paid within 24 hours of award notification.  There may be an additional processing fee similar to credit card fees.  If payment is not received within 24 hours, the NFT will be awarded to the next highest bidder.

Refund / Return Policy

Once an NFT is purchased, there are no returns or refunds.  However, we are happy to provide guidance on reselling your NFT.

Brij Kala is an art form that comprises music, dance, singing, and painting based on Lord Krishna’s life, his leelas (divine play, adventures), and his teachings. Artists learn the art at a young age and perform at various events within neighboring regions. However, due to the emergence of western art forms within the country, the art is on the verge of becoming extinct. Today, these artists want to promote the art and region through their passion of photography as well.

Raas Leela (Divine dance) – The Dance of Passion

The term “Raas Leela” means “Dance of Divine Love.” This divine dance tells the story of love between Lord Krishna, Radha, and their Gopi friends (milk maids). Playing the flute and dancing with Gopis was considered Krishna’s favorite pastime. In the Brij region, Raas Leela is performed as a folk dance. Dancers dressed as Gopis, Radharani, and Krishna enchant the audience through their brilliant expressions, dazzling costumes, and stimulating music. When the artists perform the Raas Leela, it symbolizes the spiritual love for Lord Krishna.

“Leela” meaning “act” traces back in time to traditional Raas Leela performances in Brij. The songs were sung in the Brij language which many followers and devotees found difficult to follow. This gave rise to the need for a visual representation and shortly thereafter enactments began. To this day, the dancers or performers still follow the traditional form of dance and music.

Spiritual Significance of Raas Leela

Raas Leela is the story of an eternal bond between Krishna and his devotees — an embodiment of universal love. The essence of Raas Leela is a universal truth that embodies masculine and feminine energies floating in a sea of love. This devotion is transformative.

Brij Kala Introduction Collection

The Holi Collection contains multiple NFT works for sale including two of the most popular Raas Leela dances which are the Holi and Mayur dances.

About The Studio

Brij Lok Kala Foundation (BLKF) is a non -profit organization established in the US and its main associative charity is Brij Lok Kala Manch Samiti (BLKMS) in India. BLKMS was established in 1980 by Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sharma but formally registered as a “Society “under India’s Company Act – 1956, in 2020 by his son Mr. Vishnu Dutt Sharma who is also the Secretary & the Founder. The sole purpose of this foundation is to preserve the art and culture of the Brij region as with the advancement of western music and dance in India, there is a great risk to this rare and original art form losing its charm and slowly fading away. This Foundation is also empanelled at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

Website – http://www.brijkalasamiti.org/

BLKF’s vision is to preserve the Brij art & culture in its true art form, creating opportunities for over 100 million people worldwide by 2030 through participation in events, visits to the Brij region, and collaboration on projects and programs.

BLKF’s mission is to grow awareness about Brij Kala in its original form, inspire individuals to take this art to a global audience, and to provide employment to the people especially women in the villages.

Historical Background of Brij Region – A land of love, art and spirituality

Max Mueller, a noted German erudite and scholar once remarked; “if I were to look over the whole world to find out a country most richly endowed with all the power, wealth and beauty that nature can bestow, in some respect the very paradise on earth I should point to India”.

In the heart of such an extraordinary country is situated Brij -a spiritual land where even Gods of heaven aspire to reside. The Brij region is spread out in about 200 Kms and consists of sacred places like Mathura, Govardhan, Radha Kund, Jatipura, Lathavan, Barsana, Nandgaon, Brindavan, Gokul and Baldeo, just to name only a few of them. All these are said to have sports of Lord Krishna but the more significant of them are Mathura the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Gokul where Krishna was brought up by Nanda and Yashodha and Barsana, the birthplace of Radha.

Both Lord Krishna and Radha were childhood sweethearts, and are widely worshiped and devoted in the whole Brij region. They are the paragon of platonic love as both are deeply devoted to each other. Lord Krishna worships Radha and Krishna is Radha’s life and soul.

The residents of Brij region are devotees of Radha and Krishna. The cultural life of the Brij region is very unique. The guiding principle of this culture is, “Simple living and high thinking.” These people live a happy-go-lucky life, are habitually content despite their circumstances, and are always ready to help and serve people who come and visit this Brij region.

The adventures of Lord Krishna and episodes from his life are enacted by performers in resplendent brocade garments in the show called “Raas Leela” in which dance, song and music are predominant. This is a great source of devotion & recreation.

Brij Kala is important as it provides us a way to learn ancient teachings through a simplistic way of dance & music. It is said that we have meaning to our lives as long as we have cultural values and our culture is derived from our art (Kala). The art forms give us our heritage values and age-old invaluable teachings.

At the moment in India, there are many art forms present but Brij Kala is unique, as this art form is carrying the original dance form through the people of the villages within 200 km of “Govardhan parvat” (Govardhan mountain) which is considered to be a sacred place. The music used during the performances and costumes worn by the artists are a depiction of how it was worn in the ancient days.

Charitable Contributions

Part of the proceeds of all artwork for auction or sale will be donated to the Brij Lok Kala Foundation and its associative charities.

Energy Efficiency

PoA uses Palm or Polygon, layer 2 blockchain protocols, which are 99% more efficient than the most-frequently-used NFT protocols with an almost 0% carbon footprint.

Payment Options

We understand that not everyone prefers to use crypto as a form of payment -- that’s why PoA has built a platform that accepts major credit cards as a form of payment.
